What are Giclée prints?
A Giclée (zhee-CLAY), is an individually produced, high-resolution, high-fidelity, high tech digital reproduction. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas and fine art paper using large format digital printers.
The Quality
The Giclée printing process provides better colour accuracy than other means of reproduction. The colours are brighter, last longer, and are so high-resolution they look like paint.
The range, or "gamut" of colour for Giclée is far beyond that of lithography, and details are stunning. Put simply Giclée printing far surpasses any form of previous printing for achievability, colour, realism and tone.
The quality of the Giclée print rivals any previous printing processes and is commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries.
