Annmarie a prominent artist has sold numerous paining successful to Europe, America and all over Ireland. As a practitioner Annemarie is inspired not so much by the subject, but by the light that hits it.

"One can paint the same subject many times, at different times of the day or different times of the year and it is forever changing, and all because the light is changing".

"The daily thrill that I feel when a flash of light illuminates a surface, or causes, wonderful coloured shadows to form across the sunlit ground or creates a sparkling shimmering on the water's surface, I can't resist it, I have to paint it. NOW!!!".

Anne marie has been painting and drawing since she was eight years old and very fortunate that her obsession has become her occupation.

Annmarie's favourite medium is watercolour. - "It's the excitement and pleasure derived from painting with a medium over which you have total control. It's the translucency, fluidity, and joyous colour that can be achieved with watercolour that excites me."

In her own words - "Painting is my reason for being - it is my oxygen."

Internationally, Annemarie teaches watercolour workshops in Ireland, Scotland, England, France and Italy. She has worked as a demonstrator for Daler-Rowney, a world leader in art supplies. Annmarie has had tutorials published in "paint", an artists magazine published by the S.A.A. (society for all artists) based in London.
