Kate has been delighting art lovers with her beautiful paintings for many years. Kate studied at the Limerick school of art in Ireland. After graduating a successful career blossomed.
Her work benefits from and is inspired by many Irish, Mediterranean and North African themes
sketched on working trips. The richness of colour and design found there enhances the vibrancy of her palette.
There is a joyousness and spontaneity in her work. Bright colours, lively drawing and varied subjects make for a pleasant show. Well observed still life, soft atmospheric landscapes, decorative frieze-like pictures are amongst her many loved art works.
Kate has maintained and developed with confidence her own unique and strikingly original style. In her own words “My aim is to create works of beauty, colour, and mystery, which the viewer will never tire of looking at, but will enjoy for many years to come.”
Kate's paintings are in many private collections in Ireland, Europe and the USA and also in several public collections, such as the Limerick City Art Gallery, the University of Limerick and Ulster Bank to name but a few.
During the past 5 years she pioneered an art studio project for refugees and asylum seekers in Limerick city, the subject of several TV documentaries and newspaper articles.
