'I first began painting children when my son was small, balancing my work with family life was challenging to say the least, so it made sense to choose subject matter I had around me all the time.

I would sketch him watching TV, playing with friends or at the beach. As he grew older the sketches progressed to pastel studies and then to paintings. Now he is grown, children still feature largely in my work, many of whom live around me or are personally known to me through friends.

The children in my paintings could be anybody's even your's. I capture the imagination of my patrons, a flashback of memories from the past or a vision of the present.

I attempt in this collection to reflect the free spirited nature of children and to capture the bliss of innocence which so many have forgotten with time."
